GLOSSARY OF VOLCANIC TERMS
A type of caldera characterized by inward sloping topography, inward tilted wall rocks, and an apparent absence of large displacement caldera bounding faults (Lipman, 1997). Downsag calderas are believed to result from small volume eruption from a deep-seated subvolcanic intrusion.
